CargoNXT brought together India’s supply chain leaders in Mumbai for the Logistics & SCM Summit 2026 on May 7.

CargoNXT hosted the West India Edition of the Logistics & SCM Summit 2026 on May 7, 2026, at The Lalit Mumbai. The summit brought together senior industry leaders, policymakers, and practitioners from across India’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem. Centred around the bold theme “Powering the Next Wave of Viksit Bharat: Elevate, Connect & Collaborate.” which captured the summit’s core ambition to accelerate India’s logistics transformation by elevating industry standards, forging powerful cross-sector connections, and fostering a spirit of collaboration that drives the country closer to its vision of becoming a globally competitive, self-reliant economic powerhouse.

The Summit commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and other dignitaries, followed by welcome remarks from CargoNXT’s founders. The keynote address was delivered by ‘Chief Guest’, Shri Gaurav Dayal, Chairperson, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and ‘Guest of Honour’, Shri Deepak Shetty, I.R.S.(Retd.), Former Secretary to the Government of India and Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Shri Vijay Singh Chauhan, Former Commissioner, Customs at Customs & Central Excise Department under Ministry of Finance, Government of India and Shri Abhijeet Sinha, Program Director- Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) & National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV).
Anchored by four high-impact business sessions, the summit fostered in-depth dialogues related to the national logistics grid, the rise of smart markets and intelligent manufacturing.

Business Session 1: The Integrated National Grid: Building India’s Seamless Logistics Network moderated by Dushyant Mulani, Immediate Past President, Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in India, explored resilience-first strategies, energy and economic stability amid the West Asian war, EV growth, quick commerce, and multimodal logistics.

Business Session 2: India’s Intelligent Era: Smart Markets, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Movement moderated by Shantanu Bhadkamkar, President, Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India, delved into the convergence of smart manufacturing, demand sensing, and the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape shaping India’s logistics future.

Shah, President , The Air Cargo Agents Association of India, examined tariff barriers, India’s FTA journey since 1998, global trade compliance, and the evolving framework of international trade laws.

Executive Roundtable
Running alongside Business Session 3, a closed-door executive roundtable brought together senior supply chain and logistics leaders from companies including Owens Corning, Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, and several other leading manufacturers and brand owners. The roundtable provided a focused forum for candid dialogue on the operational challenges and strategic priorities shaping India’s supply chain agenda, from demand volatility and vendor consolidation to sustainability mandates and the technology investments defining the next phase of logistics leadership.

Business Session 4: India’s On Demand Economy: New Age Businesses and ‘Always On Delivery Networks’ moderated by Chaitaly Mehta, Director, EKF Global Logistics, explored the growing momentum behind sustainable aviation fuels, green logistics practices, and the urgent shift toward plastic-free packaging across supply chains.
