Kale Logistics, a pioneer in driving digital transformation, champions the role of women in the logistics industry. Rajni Patwardhan, Head of Marketing, provides insights into the company’s commitment to diversity and innovation.

Kale is one organization which has 35-40 per cent women and most of them are in managerial roles
Kale Logistics believes that “leadership in a tech-driven ecosystem demands resilience, innovation, and inclusivity.” This Women’s Day, they celebrate the pivotal role of women in driving digital transformation within the logistics sector, emphasising that “women leaders bring a unique balance of strategy and empathy, fostering diverse, high-performing teams and championing sustainable solutions.” The company is dedicated to “empowering women in technology and logistics, ensuring they lead impactful change,” and firmly believes that “true leadership is about breaking barriers, inspiring innovation, and creating equal opportunities for all.”
Embracing collaborative evolution
Kale Logistics actively fosters collaboration within the industry. “We collaborate often with our fellow tech service providers when it comes to facing uncertainties, and one shouldn’t look at it as competition,” Rajni Patwardhan states. “Rather, we learn from each other and evolve. Real competition is your past and present. You should strive to be better than your previous self.” The company acknowledges that “success is often a mix of strategy, collaboration, and vision” and stresses that “a key lesson from our journey that every logistics and tech professional should embrace is the power of this collaborative evolution.”
A versatile industry
Rajni Patwardhan explains her choice to join the logistics industry, saying, “I would say by choice, because this industry is versatile in nature and has different layers to itself. It is like a separate world within itself. Everyday we learn something new and as we do so, we evolve as professionals with vast experience. Hence, I chose to be here and take up the challenge in the first place.” Kale recognises the diverse opportunities within the sector and encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
Conquering adversity
Kale Logistics demonstrated its resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. “When I say challenge, pandemic is the right example to quote,” Rajni Patwardhan notes. “As soon as lockdown was announced, everything seemed bleak, and we never thought we would recover from this. Yet, we came up with a strategy to help the industry, and that paid off. The same people who availed those free trials came back to us asking for more and became our ambassadors on the global stage.” The company’s proactive approach and innovative solutions helped the industry navigate unprecedented challenges.
Diversity drives success
Kale Logistics prides itself on its diverse workforce. “Kale is one organisation that has 35–40 percent women, and most of them are in managerial roles,” Rajni Patwardhan highlights. “Women have contributed to the success of the organisation significantly, and they deliver the better quality of work. We are proud to say that Kale is unique for this matter, and in the future you will find more such leaders coming forward, and this is a benchmark we have set in the LogTech space.” The company firmly believes that diversity, particularly the inclusion of women, is a key driver of its success and innovation.
