India extends export ban on de-oiled rice bran until January 31, 2025, affecting the cattle feed industry.
The Indian government has announced an extension of the export ban on de-oiled rice bran, a key ingredient in the cattle feed industry, until January 31, 2025. This decision follows an initial ban imposed in March, which was set to expire on July 31.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) issued a notification confirming the extension of the prohibition. This measure aims to ensure the availability of de-oiled rice bran for domestic use and stabilise supply for the cattle feed sector. The extension reflects ongoing efforts to manage agricultural product exports and address market conditions.
