In preparation for the G20 Leaders Summit scheduled for September 9th and 10th at the newly constructed Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, Delhi, the Northern Railway is implementing strict security measures. These measures will affect railway stations including New Delhi, Old Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal, and Sarai Rohilla. During this period, all passenger trains originating from, passing through, or terminating at these stations will not have parcel coaches, including leased ones. Additionally, all Parcel Cargo Express Trains (PCET) will be cancelled for these three days. Parcel godowns and platforms will remain devoid of parcel packages.
Both inward and outward traffic, including leased SLR (Sitting cum Luggage Rake), AGC (Assistant Guard’s Cabins), VPS (Parcel Vans), and PCETs, will be restricted at these stations. Personal luggage will be allowed only in passenger coaches, and the booking of registered newspapers and magazines will require adherence to commercial formalities.
