The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) will hold its Diamond Jubilee ceremony in New Delhi on June 9, 2023, with the theme “FFFAI Transcending Boundaries.” The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Piyush Goyal, will address the big event to commemorate the Federation’s magnificent 60-year journey in servicing EXIM commerce and therefore improving the country’s economy. Vivek Johri, Chairman CBIC, will deliver the keynote address in the presence of FFFAI EC Members (Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders) and guest delegates from logistics sector stakeholders.
FIAT President Ivan Petrov, IFCBA Managing Director and President of the Japan Customs Brokers Association Seisaku Okafuji, and DP World COO Mike Bhaskaran will serve as panellists at the event. FFFAI will unveil the Diamond Jubilee Souvenir, Coffee Table Book, and eBL (e-Bill of Lading) at this occasion to benefit the EXIM trade.
Commenting on the 60-year journey of FFFAI, Shankar Shinde, Chairman, FFFAI, said, “FFFAI has a rich history. It’s been a long journey, and such an event gives an opportunity to honour the past performance and envision future prospects for fraternity growth, contributing to the nation’s growth. “Honouring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Welcoming the Future”.
The FFFAI Chairman stated that the Federation will continue with its endeavours to empower customs brokers and logistics service providers by providing an international platform through FIATA and IFCBA for networking. He also highlighted that with continual training programmes through FFFAI’s training institute, the Indian Institute of Freight Forwarders (IIFF), the logistics fraternity is benefiting in terms of operational skill enhancement.
On this occasion, Shinde conveys gratitude to all the members, stakeholders, and government agencies for partnering with FFFAI to achieve this milestone of 60 years’ successful journey, celebrating the Diamond Jubilee in the capital city, New Delhi.
He also acknowledged the vision of FFFAI’s Founder Members, the important role played by Founders, Advisors, and Past Chairmen, Office Bearers, Executive Committee Members, and thirty Member Associations in achieving this height for FFFAI’s success, and hoped to have their dream fulfilled.
The Diamond Jubilee event will also be attended by a large number of top officials from different ministries of the Government of India and logistics industry stakeholders from across the country.
