DHL Global Forwarding has announced the appointment of Max Sauberschwarz as the new Executive Vice President (EVP) of Global Airfreight, succeeding Thomas Mack, effective October 1. Sauberschwarz, currently serving as Senior VP of Global StarBroker, will report directly to Tim Scharwath, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight.
With over 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, Sauberschwarz has held senior management roles in the airfreight sector globally, including in Europe and Asia. He joined DHL Global Forwarding in 2019 as Senior VP of Global StarBroker. Additionally, he will join the Global Forwarding management board.
Following his tenure as EVP, Thomas Mack will transition into a senior advisory role, continuing to report to Scharwath. Mack, with a four-decade career in airfreight, played a significant role in DHL Global Forwarding’s transformation into a leading integrated airfreight services provider. He will retire in October 2024.
