Apeejay shipping acquires 76,812MT Japanese-built vessel

Apeejay Shipping has revealed its latest move in maritime expansion, with the acquisition of a 76,812MT dead-weight gearless panamax vessel constructed in Japan. The vessel will bear the name ‘APJ Indrani’. This addition brings the company’s fleet to a total of 10 ships, contributing to a cumulative deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 671,332 MT.

Highlighting the promising landscape in freight markets, Apeejay Shipping’s Group Chairman, Karan Paul, expressed the company’s dedication to acquiring top-tier assets. Paul underscored the company’s commitment to expansion and growth in the maritime sector. The strategic acquisition positions Apeejay Shipping for further success in the industry.
