Adani Ports and SEZ is rolling out AI-enabled terminal operating systems across 15 container terminals as it targets one billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has expanded its partnership with US-based software provider Kaleris to deploy artificial intelligence-enabled operating systems and automation tools across its container terminal network. Under the multi-year agreement, Kaleris will roll out its terminal operating system and AI-driven optimisation solutions across 15 APSEZ container terminals spanning nine ports in India and overseas. The expansion builds on an earlier deployment across six ports and is aimed at creating a unified digital backbone across maritime and logistics operations. The initiative forms part of APSEZ’s plan to invest USD 850 million in technology upgrades and decarbonisation by 2031, with up to USD 100 million earmarked for automation.
Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and Chief Executive Officer of APSEZ, said the Kaleris integration would enhance productivity, improve turnaround time and deliver a superior customer experience, building on the company’s existing end-to-end digital platform that provides seamless track-and-trace and integrated command and control capabilities. The expanded partnership supports APSEZ’s broader target of handling one billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.
