Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari held a review meeting in New Delhi on 4 May 2026 to assess proposed high-speed corridors, high-density corridors, and other key national highway projects across Maharashtra.

The meeting covered several significant road development projects including the six-laning of the Nagpur-Bhandara and Bhandara-Raipur sections, the Nagpur-Hyderabad corridor, the Gwalior-Nagpur corridor, the Gadchiroli-Kanker corridor on the Raipur-Vizag route, and the six-laning of the Pune-Satara section.
The review also covered nine State BOT projects spanning a combined length of 527 kilometres across Maharashtra, including four-laning of key stretches connecting Shirur, Ahilyanagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Nanded, and Chandrapur. The projects are aimed at accelerating road connectivity and supporting economic growth across Maharashtra and its neighbouring states.
