51 inbound flights carried 8,175 passengers from the region on 7th March, as Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express and Akasa continue operating under prevailing conditions.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed that Indian carriers are planning 50 inbound flights from West Asia on 9th March 2026, as airlines continue to make operational adjustments in response to the evolving airspace situation across the region.
Passenger movement data for 7th March 2026 shows that 51 inbound flights operated by Indian carriers arrived in India from the region, carrying 8,175 passengers. For 8th March, Indian carriers including Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa had planned 49 inbound flights from airports in the region including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Muscat and Jeddah, subject to operational feasibility and prevailing conditions.
The Ministry stated it remains in constant coordination with airlines and other stakeholders, and that airfares are being closely monitored to ensure ticket prices remain reasonable and that there is no undue surge during this period. Indian carriers are also continuously assessing conditions at other airports across the region with a view to expanding operations as and when the situation permits.
The update underscores the direct operational impact of the West Asia conflict on India’s aviation connectivity to the Gulf, a corridor that carries significant volumes of both passenger traffic and belly cargo critical to India’s trade with the region.
