World Food India 2025 to unite 51 nations in Delhi, boosting food trade, tech and global investment ties.

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has kicked off international preparations for World Food India (WFI) 2025 with a high-level Ambassadors’ Meet at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, bringing together representatives from 51 countries to discuss overseas participation in the mega event.
Scheduled from 25 to 28 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the fourth edition of WFI will spotlight India’s growing food processing sector, opening doors for global collaborations, investments, and technology partnerships. The gathering was chaired by Shri Avinash Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, with participation from Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, APEDA, FSSAI, ITPO, and organisers FICCI, Invest India, and EY.
Shri P.S. Gangadhar, Joint Secretary (Economic Diplomacy), welcomed delegates, stressing the event’s significance for international trade and food industry growth. Secretary Joshi outlined plans for buyer–seller meets, thematic and technical sessions, large-scale exhibitions, and special pavilions covering alcoholic beverages, HORECA, post-harvest technologies, and food processing and packaging machinery.
Envoys praised the event’s timing amid shifting global food trade dynamics and pledged active participation, promising strong contingents from their food processing sectors.
This year’s WFI will adopt a “Whole of Government” approach, with contributions from multiple ministries and agencies, including Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, MSME, APEDA, MPEDA, and various commodity boards, ensuring a unified push to make the event a global success.
