Sri Lankan Airlines’ engineering section keeps winning with another C-Check for a client airline. This time, a SereneAir-owned Airbus A330-202 underwent major repair work at Sri Lankan Engineering’s wide-body hangar, which has been approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Up to this point in the year, Sri Lankan Engineering has performed six heavy maintenance inspections for a variety of clients, each of which brought in a sizeable amount of vital foreign currency.
Two things make the C-Check completed for Serene Air special. First of all, it results from Sri Lankan Engineering’s signing its first exclusive base maintenance contract with a client airline. For a three-year period, the deal gives Sri Lankan Engineering the exclusive right to do all base maintenance on Serene Air’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft, both current and future models. Second, it is the first time Sri Lankan Engineering has undertaken extensive repair work on a plane and engine combination that is not typical of the plane and engine combinations in Sri Lankan Airlines’ own fleet.
Sri Lankan Engineering, as a highly dependable and competent provider of heavy maintenance services, has been significantly expanding its profile and customer base throughout South Asia and beyond. In the industry, Sri Lankan Engineering is renowned for its superb on-time performance, turnaround time (TAT), and workmanship. The growing number of new airlines that have signed up as customers for a range of aircraft maintenance services, such as base maintenance, line maintenance, and component maintenance, serves as a good example of this.
Sri Lankan Engineering has finished a number of high-value maintenance projects just this year. This includes various C-Checks for client airlines, including Nepal Airlines, SalamAir, and Air Seychelles, in addition to SereneAir. Additionally, SriLankan Engineering has offered Turkish Airlines and FitsAir with Aircraft on Ground (AOG) base maintenance services, and its fly-away teams have handled major maintenance tasks for Nepal Airlines, Flyme (Villa Air), and Maldivian at international airports.
