Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu led a strategic meeting to advance aircraft component manufacturing in India. Senior officials, including Civil Aviation Secretary V. Vualnam, AAI Chairman Vipin Kumar, DGCA Director General Faiz Ahmed, and representatives from industry bodies, OEMs, and research institutes, participated in discussions.
The meeting focused on strengthening domestic production, leveraging India’s growing role in the global aerospace market. With increasing partnerships with international aerospace firms and a rising demand for air travel, India’s aircraft component sector is expanding.
The minister emphasized the need for a holistic approach integrating skill development, manufacturing, maintenance, certification, and knowledge sharing. The government pledged strong support for industry stakeholders, ensuring MSMEs gain supply chain access while Indian OEMs expand globally.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to regular stakeholder engagement and a unified national roadmap to establish India as a global aerospace hub.
