GreenLine deploys LNG trucks for Flipkart, advancing sustainable delivery operations.
GreenLine Mobility Solutions has partnered with Flipkart to enhance sustainability in logistics. As part of this collaboration, GreenLine will deploy 25 liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks in the first phase, each with 46 ft containers offering a capacity of 110 cubic meters. These trucks will handle B2B and B2C shipments across regional routes, initially focusing on West to North India, with plans to expand to other corridors.
This initiative aligns with Flipkart’s ongoing commitment to reducing its logistics carbon footprint, complementing its fleet of 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs). By integrating LNG and EV fleets, Flipkart aims to enhance supply chain efficiency and support environmental sustainability.
Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions, highlighted the partnership’s role in addressing the environmental impact of e-commerce logistics. Hemant Badri, SVP at Flipkart Group, emphasised its significance in advancing India’s sustainability goals. GreenLine’s LNG trucks have already reduced CO2 emissions by 30% compared to diesel vehicles, contributing to a cleaner and greener future.
