The new WIN service by ONE strengthens trade routes between India and the Port of Savannah.
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has introduced the first ship on its West India North America (WIN) service, which recently docked at the Port of Savannah. This development marks a significant enhancement in the connection between Indian ports and Georgia Ports. According to the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), the WIN service provides a weekly route from Bin Qasim, Hazira, Nhava Sheva, and Mundra to New York and Savannah.
Griff Lynch, President and CEO of GPA, highlighted that this service recognizes India’s increasing importance as a manufacturing hub. He noted, “India, with its large population, growing consumer base, and substantial infrastructure investments, presents a significant opportunity for trade via Savannah.” Lynch emphasized the efficiency of the new route, pointing out that deliveries from India to the U.S. East Coast are faster than those to the West Coast, even with vessel diversions around Africa.
The addition of the WIN service by ONE increases GPA’s direct weekly services from India to four, with a total of eight services connecting Savannah to the Indian Subcontinent. The service is supported by a fleet of nine vessels operated by ONE, offering enhanced reliability and flexibility to customers. Dan Sheehy, Senior Vice President at ONE, stated that the WIN Service reflects ONE’s dedication to the expanding market, ensuring dependable and adaptable options for clients.
