Pidge collaborates with ONDC to enhance e-commerce reach and support SMEs.
Logistics technology provider Pidge announced on Wednesday its partnership with the government-run Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to drive e-commerce growth in hyperlocal and same-city deliveries across India. This collaboration leverages Pidge’s network of over 200 regional and national partners to boost e-commerce penetration beyond the current 5 percent.
Ratnesh Verma, Founder and CEO of Pidge, highlighted the alignment between ONDC’s objectives and Pidge’s offerings, emphasising inclusivity for sellers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The ONDC Network aims to democratise the market through a decentralised process, a goal supported by Pidge’s intelligent logistics solutions, which optimise delivery routes and provide real-time order tracking via shared rider pools.
T. Koshy, MD & CEO of ONDC, noted that Pidge’s onboarding will enable small and micro businesses to leverage advanced logistics capabilities and expand into new markets. This partnership is expected to facilitate end-to-end on-network transactions, promoting a sustainable business model and empowering small businesses by enhancing reliability, accessibility, and ease of use across India’s diverse value chain.
With this initiative, sellers can utilize Pidge’s platform to broaden their e-commerce reach through the ONDC Network, supporting the growth and accessibility of digital commerce across the country.
