Mahindra Logistics unveils plans for Community Centre of Excellence (CCoE) with Logistics Skill Council to tackle labor shortage.
Mahindra Logistics has announced the launch of Community Centre of Excellence (CCoE) in partnership with the Logistics Skill Council. The initiative aims to combat the prevalent shortage of skilled workers in the logistics sector. The first phase witnesses the inauguration of the initial CCoE in Bhiwandi, with plans for another in Guwahati slated for Q1 FY25.
The CCoE is designed to offer comprehensive skill development training and certification in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain operations. This endeavor not only aims to bridge the skill gap but also strives to create employment opportunities.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, MD and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration, aiming to revolutionise the sector’s landscape. He stated, “Our association with the Logistics Skill Council is poised to not only mitigate the shortage of skilled workers but also to spearhead a transformative shift in the sector’s dynamics. This initiative will address the need for skilled workers in the logistics sector as well as absorb 30 percent of the workforce into our operations.”.
At the time of reporting, the stock of Mahindra Logistics traded at ₹449.25 on the BSE, marking a 0.30 percent increase as of 12:30 am.
