Vaibhav Vohra, IFCCI Chairman, discusses industry initiatives with DPIIT officials at a high-level meeting in New Delhi.
Vaibhav Vohra, Chairman of the Logistics and Maritime Committee at the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) and Managing Director of Continental Carriers, participated in a significant logistics, supply chain, and mobility roundtable meeting. The meeting, held on February 29, 2024, included discussions with Balamurugan D., Joint Secretary (Europe), and E. Srinivas, Joint Secretary (Logistics), from the Department of Promotion for Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The industry interaction was organised by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.
Vaibhav Vohra, while setting the agenda for the meeting, discussed the committee’s past initiatives and acknowledged the government’s recent policies, including the National Logistics Policy, that have helped streamline industry challenges. He also mentioned the growing civil aviation industry in India and the government’s steps towards standardising cargo-handling tariff rates. Vaibhav Vohra and IFCCI members appreciated DPIIT for its support extended to French companies in the past.
