Telangana attracts ₹1.79 lakh crore investments at Davos, creating 50,000 jobs.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy concluded the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos on a high note, securing investments worth ₹1.79 lakh crore through 20 memorandums of understanding (MoUs). The deals span sectors such as data centres, green energy, manufacturing, and technology, with the potential to generate approximately 50,000 jobs in the state.
Major investments include Amazon AWS’s ₹60,000 crore commitment to establishing a new data centre and Sun Petrochemicals’ ₹45,500 crore pledge. Other significant contributors include Tillman Global Holdings and Megha Engineering, each committing ₹15,000 crore.
Hyderabad is set for further growth as Infosys, HCL, and Wipro announced major expansions, collectively promising 27,000 new jobs. Additionally, new projects in solar cells, rocket manufacturing, and UAV production highlight Telangana’s ambitions.
CM Reddy underscored the state’s vision to become a USD 1 trillion SDGP economy by focusing on innovation-driven sectors like electric vehicles, green energy, and strategic development across urban and rural areas.
