SpiceJet has gotten in a lease agreement for ten aircrafts to be started from September 2023, as told by officials. The airline has decided to include ten Boeing 737 for the escalating passenger demand. These ten will include five 737 Max aircrafts.
Recently the airline’s flights are facing delays as many aircrafts are grounded, and SpiceJet is continuously working to restore the aircrafts and come back to efficient service.
Joining the fleet from September, Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of SpiceJet exclaimed about the ten B737’s as the essential increase in demand by passengers, and hoped that the same will continue in the later part of 2023 as well. The need for capacity addition by SpiceJet is another reason. The planes will be inducted in the peak travel season as Ajay says, “The induction of these planes, which coincides with the peak travel season in India, will help us launch new routes, and strengthen our presence on existing ones.”
