Shankar Shinde, Managing Director, Global Express Multilogistics, Chairman-IFCBA, Vice Chairman – CCTT, IMC, and MACCIA, as well as Immediate Past Chairman of FFFAI-LSC and Managing Committee Member (Special Invitee) of AMTOI, began his journey in logistics in 1989 with a strong aspiration to contribute to the backbone of global trade and economic development. Over time, Shinde expanded into international freight forwarding, providing specialised solutions for industrial and perishable cargo across various transportation modes, including containers, breakbulk, and airfreight.
Recognising the need for end-to-end solutions, he ventured into supply chain management with door-to-door services, particularly catering to landlocked regions and cross-country trade. Today, as the MD of Global Express Multilogistics, Shinde leads a company known for its comprehensive, efficient, and competitive logistics solutions.

As Chairman of the International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations (IFCBA), he represents the global customs fraternity on platforms like the World Customs Organisation (WCO) and World Trade Organisation (WTO). Shinde’s involvement in the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) project underscores his visionary approach. By leading the dry run study connecting India to Russia via Iran and the Caspian Sea, he showcased the feasibility of alternative routes to the Suez Canal, reducing transit times and costs for EXIM trade. His detailed presentations on infrastructure, multimodal integration, and trade facilitation have paved the way for seamless and competitive international logistics.
