Sandeep Poundrik, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has officially taken charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Steel.
Sandeep Poundrik, a 1993-batch IAS officer from the Bihar cadre, has today assumed the position of Secretary at the Ministry of Steel, Udyog Bhawan. His appointment was marked by a warm welcome from senior officers of the Ministry.
Before this role, Poundrik served as the Additional Chief Secretary in Bihar’s Industries Department and held several other key positions within the state government.
He also has experience as an Advisor with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Following his appointment, Secretary Poundrik convened a meeting with senior Ministry officials to assess the current progress and developments in India’s steel sector.
