National Highway construction reaches 5,614 km, exceeding set goals
National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) achieved record-breaking growth in FY 2024-25, surpassing its construction target.
NHAI successfully built 5,614 km of National Highways against the planned 5,150 km, marking a significant achievement in infrastructure development. The organization also recorded its highest-ever capital expenditure, exceeding ₹2,50,000 crore, surpassing the target of ₹2,40,000 crore. This marks a 21% rise from ₹2,07,000 crore in FY 2023-24 and a 45% increase from ₹1,73,000 crore in FY 2022-23.
To boost funding, NHAI utilized monetization strategies, including Toll Operate Transfer (TOT), Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), and Toll Securitization, raising ₹28,724 crore. This included a record single-round InvIT receipt of ₹17,738 crore.
With a strong commitment to world-class infrastructure, NHAI continues to enhance road connectivity, contributing to economic growth and national development.
