EeLain Ong has taken over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of international freight transport and logistics insurer TT Club, with effect from 1 August 2022. Following Julian Chowdhury’s retirement, Ong has replaced him.
Ong’s challenges as CFO of the reputed specialist mutual insurer would be to accomplish business plan profit targets through operational efficiency targeted at simplifying and automating procedures along the insurance value chain. Over the course of her 27-year career, she has held executive roles in finance, treasury, and tax with re/insurance firms, captives, mutuals, start-ups, and Lloyd’s syndicates and across multiple jurisdictions globally.
Ong is a Chartered Accountant and a Hull University alumnus (FCA). She has also worked as a regulator, an auditor, and a corporate financier for mergers and acquisitions, all of which exposed her to the structuring of finite, traditional, and legacy risk transfer deals within the context of financial governance.
