Mondelez adopts LNG-powered trucks through GreenLine Mobility, boosting sustainability efforts in India.
Mondelez International has joined hands with GreenLine Mobility Solutions to integrate LNG-powered trucks into its logistics operations in India. The collaboration was officially launched at a flag-off event at Mondelez’s Alwar plant in Rajasthan.
This initiative aligns with Mondelez’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives, aiming to lower its carbon footprint while reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability. GreenLine’s LNG-powered trucks offer a cleaner alternative to diesel, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To date, the company has mitigated 8,519 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions, lauded the partnership, emphasising Mondelez’s dedication to a greener supply chain. He remarked that Mondelez, known for brands like Cadbury and Oreo, is setting a new benchmark in sustainable logistics for the FMCG sector.
The collaboration strengthens GreenLine’s mission to reduce the environmental impact of India’s logistics sector while supporting Mondelez’s sustainability practices across its operations.
