Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, is undergoing a remarkable transformation with several infrastructure and beautification projects nearing completion. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra recently reviewed these initiatives and expressed confidence in showcasing the city’s rapid growth. A significant ongoing project is the 105-km Lucknow Ring Road, which aims to connect 104 villages to the city. Package-1, covering 31.75 km, and Package-2, spanning 32.89 km, are at 94 percent and 64 percent completion, respectively. The road is expected to be ready by November 2023.
To accommodate the increasing number of passengers, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is undergoing expansion, aiming to increase annual passenger capacity from 43 lakh to 1.37 crore. The redevelopment of Gomtinagar Railway Station with a budget of Rs 377 crore is also underway, with the first phase set to complete by December. These infrastructure projects will bolster connectivity, enhance travel experiences, and create new growth opportunities for Lucknow and its residents, ensuring a brighter future for the city.
