Israel’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has affirmed that cargo operations remain uninterrupted despite recent attacks by Hamas. The CAA stated that Israeli cargo airlines are functioning normally, and many international cargo carriers are maintaining services to and from Israel.
El Al Cargo, headquartered in Israel and in the process of commencing freighter operations, also confirmed the continuity of its cargo flights. Meanwhile, the Israel Airports Authority, responsible for Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, reassured that cargo operations are proceeding as planned.
However, due to the situation, several global cargo airlines have suspended or delayed flights. FedEx and UPS have temporarily halted all-cargo services to Israel and anticipate potential shipment disruptions. Air France KLM Martinair Cargo and Lufthansa Cargo have postponed cargo flights to Tel Aviv.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) for Israel’s airspace, advising cargo operators to maintain robust risk assessments and contingency plans for their cargo operations in the region.
