India is boosting its air cargo ecosystem with new state partnerships, digital policy upgrades, and planned infrastructure like the Jewar Aero Logistics hub.

New Memoranda of Understanding and strategic partnerships announced at the 7th ACFI World Conclave 2026 brought state governments and industry stakeholders together to strengthen India’s air cargo and export ecosystem, with collaborations focused on cargo infrastructure, multimodal connectivity and perishable and high-value cargo. Partnerships with Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added a regional focus, including a proposed Jewar Aero Logistics and Perishable Export Hub in UP and potential trans-shipment hubs and Air Freight Stations in Andhra Pradesh.
Samir Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, said air cargo has a key role to play in pharmaceuticals, electronics, engineering goods and perishables as India strengthens its position as a reliable trade and manufacturing hub, with Air Cargo Policy 2.0 and the proposed National Air Cargo Community System set to support end-to-end digital cargo processing. The two-day conclave, organised by the Air Cargo Forum India in partnership with Logistics Shakti Enterprise, also launched the Cargo Service Quality Initiative and featured discussions on VTOL, drones and AI-driven smart cargo security, alongside the Innovatopia Awards recognising innovation in air cargo and logistics.
