New JV to deliver hydrogen-powered drones for high-altitude logistics, boosting India’s supply chain self-reliance.

In a significant leap towards modernising India’s defence logistics and supply chain capabilities, Paras Defence and Space Technologies has announced a strategic joint venture with HevenDrones Israel, a global innovator in hydrogen-powered autonomous drones.
The new JV aims to design, manufacture, and deploy next-generation unmanned aerial systems (UAS) from Indian soil, focused on mission-critical logistics for remote, border, and high-altitude areas. With hydrogen propulsion extending flight endurance and payload capacity, these drones are tailored for frontline supply chains, tactical surveillance, and urban threat response.
“India is a priority market for drone deployment at scale,” said Munjal Sharad Shah, MD of Paras Defence. “This JV enables us to deliver world-class Made-in-India drone systems that redefine supply chain speed, reach, and efficiency.”
Key Supply Chain & Logistics Impact:
- High-End Logistics Support: Drones will bridge the last mile in terrains inaccessible by road, revolutionising logistics for military operations, natural disasters, and border supplies.
- Indigenous Manufacturing: Paras Defence will localise production, aligning with Atmanirbhar Bharat goals and reducing import dependency in the drone logistics space.
- Technology Transfer: HevenDrones is transferring IP, manuals, and working prototypes, ensuring faster go-to-market and compliance with Indian defence procurement norms.
- Immediate Deployment: With systems already validated globally, the JV is ready to demonstrate and deliver operational drones, enabling quick adoption by Indian defence and homeland agencies.
Future Outlook:
The partnership sets the stage for India’s emergence as a global hub for autonomous drone logistics, with a strong domestic foundation paving the way for future exports. In the long term, the JV could also support critical infrastructure monitoring, disaster relief logistics, and urban supply networks.
“Together, we are contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission and setting a new benchmark in performance-driven UAV logistics,” said Bentzion Levinson, CEO of Heven.
With a strong FY25 performance and an order book exceeding ₹9 billion, Paras Defence is strategically positioned to drive innovation-led supply chain solutions that integrate mobility, autonomy, and endurance.
