Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for selecting 15 railway stations in Haryana for redevelopment under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’. The redevelopment project, which involves 508 railway stations across the country, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi through video conferencing. The selected Haryana stations include Ambala City, Bhiwani Junction, Faridabad, Hisar, and others.
Khattar highlighted the remarkable progress in infrastructure and railway sectors over the past nine years, with the completion of major expressways and national highway connectivity in every district of Haryana. The state is witnessing significant rail infrastructure development, including the country’s first elevated railway track in Rohtak. Additionally, the Haryana Orbit Railway Corridor and metro connectivity are being expanded.
Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chandigarh Administrator, and Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta were also present at the event, emphasising the transformative impact of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on India’s railway infrastructure.
