Flipkart reaches 10,000 EVs in its fleet, aiming for fully electric last-mile logistics by 2030.
Flipkart has successfully integrated over 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) into its delivery fleet, marking a significant step toward its goal of transitioning to an all-electric last-mile logistics fleet by 2030. This milestone aligns with Flipkart’s commitment to the Climate Group’s EV100 initiative, which advocates for global corporate adoption of electric transport.
Currently, around 75 percent of Flipkart’s EV fleet operates in Tier-I cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The shift has enhanced operational efficiency, with improved delivery speeds and reduced costs per order. The company also reports that over 55 percent of its grocery orders are fulfilled through EVs, a figure that rose to 16 percent in Tier-II cities during the 2024 festive season.
In support of this transition, Flipkart has partnered with Adani Group to build 38 EV charging stations across key cities. The company also launched a Last-Mile Aggregator model to further scale EV adoption. Flipkart continues to drive its sustainability efforts with significant infrastructure and operational improvements.
