FFFAI inaugurates its first batch at Dronagiri Skill Development Centre under PMKVY 4.0, building a skilled workforce for logistics.
The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) inaugurated the first batch at its Skill Development Centre in Dronagiri, Maharashtra, on September 17, 2024, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0. The event was graced by key dignitaries, including D. S. Garbyal, Commissioner of Customs (Nhava Sheva-I), and Dr. Minakshi Vijayant Gupta, Principal, Uran Education Society’s College of Management and Technology.
During the inauguration, Dr. Pramod Sant, Director General of FFFAI, emphasised the importance of skilling in logistics for India’s economic future. Chief Guest D. S. Garbyal aligned the initiative with the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering youth to support India’s growth to a $5 trillion economy. Other prominent speakers, including Shankar Shinde, Immediate Past Chairman of FFFAI, and Dushyant Mulani, Chairman of FFFAI, praised the efforts to build a skilled workforce in logistics.
The event also highlighted opportunities in logistics driven by upcoming projects like Vadhvan Port and government initiatives. All dignitaries expressed their support for FFFAI’s commitment to bridging the skills gap in the logistics sector and advancing the country’s economic goals.
