The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is participating in the 15th edition of Aero India, held from February 10-14, 2025, at Air Force Station Yelahanka, Bengaluru. DRDO is showcasing a wide range of indigenously developed technologies, including advanced combat aircraft, next-generation missiles, and surveillance systems.
For the first time, DRDO is displaying a full-scale model of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), India’s first 5.5-generation stealth fighter, at the India Pavilion. The pavilion highlights the country’s defence manufacturing capabilities, featuring contributions from Defence PSUs, private industries, and startups.
The indoor pavilion, divided into nine themes, exhibits over 330 products across 14 technology zones, including missile technology, radar systems, and electronic warfare. The outdoor section features real-world applications of defence innovations, including the upgraded Dornier aircraft.
A seminar on February 11 will focus on ‘Make in India – Make for World,’ fostering industry collaboration and boosting defence exports. Additionally, an indigenisation event, ‘SAMARTHYA,’ on February 12 will honour key contributors to indigenous defence advancements.
