DP World announces its latest innovation centre set to be constructed in Gurugram. With a capacity of 240 staff members, the team would be working on critical solutions for global supply chains. Starting with mere 50 employees in 2021, the company is already touching 450+ resources spread across 3 centres.
With the continued exponential growth, the numbers are expected to reach as many as 700 within a year, claimed the company is a statement. The new centre will house teams who will work on any innovations in trade and logistics coming up in the future. Once we’re done, this should make DP World really competitive globally, which would be a huge win for the firm.
Pradeep Desai, DP World’s Chief Technology Officer, said, “We are focused on developing cutting-edge applications and solutions to solve real-world trade problems. Across the industries in which we operate in, trade is moving from analogue to embrace new digital solutions.”
“Our teams will be able to build and trial new solutions – from conception to execution – helping to automate the flow of trade. We are investing heavily in end-to-end logistics, trade finance, e-commerce and market access, all for benefitting cargo owners,” he added.
