DBGT facilitates CMA CGM’s ad hoc call, boosting VOC Port’s trade links to Singapore.

In a significant step towards expanding its international trade network, Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT) successfully handled an ad hoc call from CMA CGM’s M.V. Songa Lioness at VOC Port. The vessel berthed at 0915 hours, handled 1,291 TEUs, and departed for Singapore at 1755 hours the same day.
This milestone highlights DBGT’s growing role in global logistics, reinforcing VOC Port’s direct connectivity to Singapore and extending trade reach to Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East. While this was a one-off call, DBGT sees it as a stepping stone toward enhancing regional economic growth and global trade connections.
With strong support from VOC Port Authority, Tuticorin, DBGT continues to position itself as a premier gateway for international commerce, fostering stronger trade relationships and reinforcing its commitment to the ex-im community.
