Cargo Insights hosted CargoNXT Recognitions at the CargoNXT Conference & Recognitions on October 26, 2023 at the Leisure Valley Ground, Sector 29, Gurugram. CargoNXT Recognitions were organised to recognise the contributions and brilliance of cargo and logistics industry leaders.
With two award categories, mainly, Gold and Silver awards, CargoNXT Recognition proudly awarded the prestigious ‘Man of Logistics – An Outstanding Leader’ to the Late Jai Karan Sharma, Founder of the Chetak Group.
The posthumous award honoured J.K. Sharma’s remarkable contributions to the logistics industry and his visionary achievements. The illustrious founder of Chetak Group transformed the logistics landscape, establishing Chetak Logistics as a dominant force across 60 cities with over 2500 trucks and trailers. His pioneering work in 3PL and multi-modal transportation earned him esteemed titles like ‘Transport Rattan’ and ‘Rashtriya Udyog Rattan.’ Alden Global posthumously recognised him as ‘The Logistics Man of India’ in 2021.
Jai Karan Sharma’s legacy transcends logistics, encompassing philanthropy and empowerment of the underprivileged. He was honoured with a postal stamp, a biographical book, and a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ as testament to his unparalleled impact on society.
The award, presented by Om Prakash Sharma, Director of Economic Regulations, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, was received by Shri Sharma’s sons, Mukesh Haritash, Rajesh Haritash, and Sachin JKS haritasH, Director of Chetak Logistics, along with Arun Arora, Director and Head of Chetak Foundation.
