AVG Logistics announced a significant win, bagging a Rs 150 crore contract for leasing a Parcel Cargo Express Train from Indian Railways. The special train, linking Bengaluru to Ludhiana in Punjab, will operate one round trip weekly for the next six years.
Managing Director and CEO Sanjay Gupta expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Earning revenue of Rs 150 crore through this contract will not only boost our revenue but also fuel our motivation for more ambitious projects.”
The cargo express train, completing the journey in 72 hours, expands AVG Logistics’ railway network, providing access to the textile and cycle manufacturing markets in Ludhiana. The company, specialising in road and rail transportation, reefers, cold chain, and warehousing, operates over 50 fully automated branches nationwide.
