Atlas Air expands collaboration with YunExpress, adding a second Boeing 777 freighter to bolster cross-border e-commerce logistics.
Atlas Air has announced the expansion of its partnership with YunExpress, a subsidiary of Zongteng Group, by adding a second Boeing 777-200 freighter under a long-term charter agreement. Scheduled to enter service in April, the additional freighter will operate six weekly routes between China and the United States, according to a release from Atlas.
This move aims to enhance YunExpress’ international logistics network and meet the rising demand for cross-border e-commerce shipping from China. Michael Steen, Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Air, expressed delight in strengthening their strategic partnership with YunExpress, emphasising the significant demand driven by cross-border e-commerce.
Wang Zuan, President of Zongteng Group, highlighted the successful collaboration between YunExpress and Atlas Air, with plans to expand routes and fleet size to cater to increasing demand and ensure supply chain resilience.
