Sam Katgara, a fourth generation leader, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 14th ‘Express Logistics and Supply Chain Leadership Awards 2022’, which were hosted in Mumbai. He was honoured for his extraordinary contribution to the Indian logistics industry over a decade-long period. The award is intended to honour and commend Katgara for the outstanding contribution he has made to the logistics sector throughout his tenure at Jeena.
This year, over 250 industry representatives attended the ELSC Conclave, a two-day event structured around the theme of ‘People, process, and technology: alignment across the supply chain’. The Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave (ELSC), organised by Kamikazee b2b Media Express, is a specialised business-to-business event bringing the logistics and supply chain industry together in Mumbai to present the latest breakthroughs, establish new methodologies, and uncover new trends and technologies. Sam Katgara, a 4th generation Katgara family leader, has led Jeena & Company for more than 40 years while also significantly advancing the interests of the logistics sector. Katgara has held a number of prominent leadership positions at industry groups as a result of his extensive knowledge of the logistics and freight forwarding industries in India. He was the only Indian to hold the office of Chairman of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Agents Association (FAPAA) since the organization’s founding. He also serves as the President of Air Cargo Club Bombay and the Air Cargo Agents Association of India. He is currently a Board of Advisors member for Air Cargo Club Bombay.
