India’s participation at BIOFACH 2025 highlights organic products and culture, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) proudly represented India at BIOFACH 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, from February 11-14. The India Pavilion, inaugurated by Consul General Shatrughna Sinha and APEDA Chairman Abhishek Dev, displayed a wide variety of organic products, including pulses, spices, rice, and essential oils.
The event also marked a pivotal moment with the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between APEDA and Nuremberg Messe, making India the Partner Country of the Year for BIOFACH 2026. This follows India’s previous designation in 2012 and strengthens its role as a global leader in organic agriculture.
Over 20 Indian exporters, FPOs, and State Government organizations showcased their products, while visitors experienced India’s rich cultural heritage through food tastings and live cooking demonstrations. With a growing organic market, India is set to take center stage at next year’s BIOFACH, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable farming and high-quality, eco-friendly food production.
