GOI’s implementation of NLP and the PM Gati Shakti initiative are aimed to reduce logistics costs and eliminate or minimise reverse logistics problems by optimising truck utilisation but they all are primary objectives for the policies. These goals cannot be achieved without a holistic approach towards the development of the entire supply chain, including warehouses and last-mile deliveries. Warehousing has been adapting real time to meet the new demands.
One of the key changes that has been brought about by this development is the rise in 3PL and 4PL service providers and growth of warehousing in Tier 1 and 2 markets which needed to expand regional footprint to meet the growing demands of ecommerce. In the near future, we anticipate a growing demand for internationally compliant warehousing facilities, and the need for sustainable, green logistics practices, all of which LP Logiscience is actively working towards.
