ACAAI Western Region names ArunKumar Menon as new Chairman, effective September 1, as members gather in Mumbai to discuss FTA opportunities and evolving trade dynamics.

The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) Western Region held its regional meeting in Mumbai on August 31, 2026, bringing together members of the air cargo and logistics industry to discuss key operational issues, including matters related to airlines, Customs, custodians and PTFC/CCFC.
During the meeting, ArunKumar Menon of Sevenseas Global Express Logistics Pvt. Ltd. was appointed Chairman of ACAAI Western Region with effect from September 1, 2026. Shailesh Sharma will continue as Honorary Secretary and Farokh Hansotia as Honorary Treasurer.
The event also featured a knowledge session by Dr Joshua Ebenezer, Principal Consultant at NuCov Facilitrade, on opportunities for logistics service providers under India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs). Using the India-UAE CEPA as an example, he outlined how logistics companies could benefit from provisions covering trade in services, including market access, commercial presence and the movement of professionals.
The session also examined the evolving geopolitical landscape and its implications for global trade and logistics. The meeting concluded with a networking session that enabled members to exchange views and strengthen industry engagement.
