The Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India held its 27th Annual General Meeting on August 21, 2026, in Mumbai, marking the beginning of a new leadership term.

The Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India held its 27th Annual General Meeting on August 21, 2026, at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Mumbai, bringing together members and stakeholders from India’s multimodal transport and logistics industry. The AGM marked the beginning of a new leadership term, with Devpal Menon elected as President, Haresh Lalwani as Vice President, Prashant Popat as Honorary Secretary and Ravindra Gandhi as Honorary Treasurer. The evening was addressed by Chief Guest Farhad Forbes, who spoke on the theme of family business fuelling India’s economic growth, and Captain B.V.J.K. Sharma, who served as Guest of Honour. The occasion also witnessed the release of the AMTOI Journal.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Late Shri P.K. Srivastava Award for Excellence in Multimodalism to T. Venkataraman. The biennial award was instituted in memory of Prabhat Kumar Srivastava, the first President of AMTOI and former Chairman and Managing Director of the Shipping Corporation of India, and recognises outstanding contributions to the development of multimodal transport in India. AMTOI also recognised long-standing member companies through Citations of Honour and Certificates of Loyalty, acknowledging their continued association and contribution to the Association. The evening concluded with a networking dinner attended by AMTOI members, industry leaders, government representatives and distinguished guests.
