Gavrilin will lead AIR ONE’s commercial growth and network expansion across Asia Pacific.

Global aviation group AIR ONE has appointed Ilya Gavrilin as Business Development Director, Asia Pacific (APAC) to support the expansion of its Boeing 747 and 777 freighter services across the region.
Based at AIR ONE’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Gavrilin will focus on strategic commercial growth, strengthening customer partnerships and supporting network expansion. AIR ONE currently operates a fleet of 13 Boeing 747 and 777 freighters, according to the company.
AIR ONE has maintained a presence in the Asia-Pacific air cargo market through charter and other freighter operations. The group launched its first scheduled freighter service in September 2025, connecting Hong Kong with East Midlands Airport using Boeing 747-400F aircraft. The initial service operated four times a week, while AIR ONE’s current schedule lists Hong Kong-East Midlands services on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Gavrilin joins AIR ONE following his role as Vice President of EURES Express in Hong Kong. According to the company, he has more than 15 years of experience across the aviation and logistics sectors, including senior commercial roles with Volga-Dnepr Airlines and Volga-Dnepr Group in Europe and Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Gavrilin will work on developing customer relationships and new commercial opportunities while supporting AIR ONE’s scheduled and charter freighter capabilities in the APAC market.
Commenting on the appointment, Guneet Mirchandani, Chairman, AIR ONE, said Gavrilin’s experience across major Asia-Pacific markets would support the group’s regional expansion and help develop new opportunities for customers, AIR ONE and its partners.
