CMA CGM announces new freight rates for dry cargo from India and the Middle East to Europe, effective from 1 February

Shipping line CMA CGM has introduced updated Freight All Kinds tariffs for dry cargo transported from the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East Gulf, and the Red Sea to destinations in North Europe, the Mediterranean, and North Africa. These new price levels are scheduled to commence on 1 February 2026 and will persist until further notice.
Under the revised structure, shipments from North West India to North Europe are priced at USD 2,200 per container, while those headed to Mediterranean and North African ports are set at USD 2,100 and USD 3,100, respectively. For exports originating from South East India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Middle East Gulf, the rates are slightly higher, reaching USD 2,300 for North Europe, USD 2,200 for the Mediterranean, and USD 3,200 for North Africa. Routes starting from the Red Sea remain the most economical, with prices starting from USD 1,200.
These figures encompass the basic ocean freight and bunker surcharges. However, additional costs such as terminal handling fees at both ends, security charges, and local port levies will still apply to these bookings.
