Paradip Port Authority and AM/NS Ports ink 30-year deal to mechanise CQ-III berth for efficient dry bulk cargo handling.

Paradip Port Authority (PPA) in Odisha and AM/NS Ports have entered into a 30-year concession agreement to mechanise the CQ-III berth for dry bulk cargo handling. The agreement, signed on 29 September 2025 in Bhubaneswar, will enable shipment of iron ore pellets using a fully mechanised conveying system and a ship loader.
The pact was executed by Himanshu Sekhar Rout, Chief Engineer of PPA, and Subhakant Dash, authorised signatory of AM/NS Ports, in the presence of P.L. Haranadh, Chairman of PPA, and Suresha G., Chief of Odisha Operations at AM/NS India. Senior officials from both organisations also attended the signing.
According to Haranadh, the project will significantly enhance berth productivity and promote eco-friendly coastal cargo operations. Suresha termed the partnership a key milestone in modernising port operations while supporting regional industrial growth. The initiative is expected to strengthen AM/NS India’s logistics capabilities and contribute to Paradip Port’s development as a major cargo hub.
