India intensifies coastal and defense security as Mundra and Kandla Ports enforce emergency shutdowns amid escalating India-Pakistan hostilities.

In response to growing tensions with Pakistan, India has implemented heightened security across all military bases and critical assets. As part of these precautionary measures, operations at Mundra and Kandla Ports in Gujarat’s Kutch region have been suspended. All berthing plans at Mundra, the country’s largest commercial port, have been cancelled, while ships docked at Kandla have been instructed to switch off their lights to maintain a blackout.
Shipping movement at both ports has been halted until daylight. The move comes after Indian armed forces launched precision strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. Pakistani drones and missiles have since been intercepted by Indian defense systems along the border.
