MoPSW held a workshop on IT procurement to drive digital transformation under Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) organised a one-day workshop on IT Procurement and Project Management in New Delhi, aligning with the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. The workshop aimed to enhance digital implementation and efficiency across India’s maritime sector.
Virtually inaugurated by Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, the event focused on leveraging technology to modernise port operations and improve stakeholder services. Secretary Shri T.K. Ramachandran highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and capacity building to accelerate maritime digitalisation.
Sessions addressed IT project challenges, presented real-time case studies, and explored practical solutions. A key highlight was the introduction of the proposed Digital Centre of Excellence (DCoE), envisioned as a dedicated IT project hub in collaboration with CDAC.
Live demos of platforms like SPARSH and Counsello showcased AI-powered innovations. Draft IT Procurement Guidelines were also introduced for stakeholder feedback. Led by Joint Secretary (IT) Shri R. Lakshmanan, the workshop reaffirmed MoPSW’s commitment to future-ready digital systems.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a call for effective execution of next-gen tech solutions.
