The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, and the Korea Transport Institute (KoTI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance cooperation in logistics and infrastructure development. The agreement was formalised at the Sejong National Research Complex, South Korea, with Youngchan Kim, President of KoTI, and Amit Kumar, India’s Ambassador to South Korea, signing the document.
The MoU aims to leverage KoTI’s expertise to support India’s infrastructure initiatives under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. It establishes a framework for joint working meetings, institutional collaboration, and knowledge sharing between DPIIT’s Logistics Division and KoTI.
Key outcomes include research-driven programs, capacity building through training and technical assistance, and advancements in technology adoption. The partnership will also promote GIS data-based technology on a global scale, strengthening bilateral ties and accelerating innovation in India’s logistics and infrastructure sectors.
