Andhra ministers stress Central support for timely Polavaram project completion in meeting with Union Minister.
Civil Aviation Minister RamMohan Naidu, along with Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Ramanaidu and MoS Steel Srinivas Verma, met with Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil to discuss the Polavaram project. Minister RamMohan Naidu emphasised the critical need for Central Government support to ensure the project’s timely completion, expressing confidence in the combined leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting the significance of the Polavaram project for Andhra Pradesh’s development, Naidu stated that it symbolises the state’s pride and is essential for its growth. The ministers requested necessary financial and technical support from the Central Government, citing accelerated progress between 2014-2019 and setbacks during 2019-2024 under the previous administration.
RamMohan Naidu asserted that the current leadership is committed to prioritizing the project’s completion. He stressed the collaborative efforts required between the state and Central Government, stating, “If anyone can finish this project, it is only possible under the combined leadership of NCBN and Narendra Modi Ji.”
The ministers assured their dedication to working closely with the Centre to meet the project’s deadlines, emphasising the Polavaram project’s critical role in Andhra Pradesh’s future development.
